Volleyball in Killarney

March 10, 2022

Sixth class entered three teams in the regional volleyball competition in Killarney. We were very grateful to Sgt. Mick Kelleher of Macroom Garda Station who brought us to St Brigid’s Secondary School in Killarney town where the competition took place.

We had two girls teams and a boys team. The boys team aquitted themselves very well. Despite not winning a game they put big scores up against CBS Killarney, Fossa and Spa Tralee , all of whom had far more experience in volleyball competitions.

Our girls’ teams greatly exceeded expectations by winning multiple games and finishing 2nd and 4th in the final competition table. The teams they competed against were again C.B.S., Fossa and Spa Tralee
