Welcome to

3rd and 4th Class

We have had a very busy first few weeks in 3 rd and 4 th class with a lot of hard work done by all the
children. In Maths, we have enjoyed learning more about time both digital and analogue as well as
mastering our addition and place values. The children have learned the Haka as Gaeilge which they
performed passionately to the school.
We have been very busy with our science experiment to date and the children created their very
own toy car which we had great fun racing in the classroom. The children have completed some
great project, with our most recent being on the topic ‘Animals’ which they all worked really hard at
and have gathered some really interesting facts about their chosen animal.
The children have really enjoyed the Zumba classes with Frank as well as the hurling training with
Murk and Jerry. I’m sure their will be a few future Cork camogie and hurling stars come from the
group if they keep up their ‘hurling homework’ given to them by Murt.
The kids have done some lovely pieces of autumn art as well as some very realistic self-portraits. We
have also decorated our classroom in green and white in support of Aghabullogue in the county
finals. Mr. Dineen will also try put up a few blue and white flags up if he is aloud for his own county
final!
